Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of solar energy projects across Odisha. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, project management, and technical skills in solar PV systems, with a proven track record of managing utility-scale or commercial solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of solar projects from feasibility studies to commissioning.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and compliance with local/state regulations.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with government authorities, DISCOMs, landowners, and vendors for approvals and coordination.
- Conduct site visits, risk assessments, and quality control inspections.
- Oversee contractor performance, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
- Monitor project KPIs and prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Handle vendor negotiations, procurement planning, and logistics.
- Mentor junior project managers and technical staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in solar energy.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, grid interconnection, and local regulatory frameworks in Odisha.
- Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and project monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently across project sites in Odisha.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with solar park development or rooftop solar systems.
- Familiarity with Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) policies and approval processes.
- Understanding of financing models and PPA structures.
