Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager – Solar Energy to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will lead and oversee the design, planning, execution, and delivery of commercial and utility-scale solar projects across Karnataka and South India.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle of solar energy projects – from feasibility to commissioning.
- Coordinate with clients, EPC contractors, government agencies, and internal engineering teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise site execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic systems.
- Prepare project documentation including BOQs, project schedules, risk assessments, and progress reports.
- Handle procurement planning, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Track project KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage a team of junior engineers, site supervisors, and third-party contractors.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in solar EPC project management with 2+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in handling large-scale solar rooftop or ground-mounted projects (1 MW and above).
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technology, grid connection standards, and electrical safety protocols.
- Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and solar simulation tools like PVSyst.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across India.
