Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead solar energy projects in and around Visakhapatnam. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar installations, ensuring timely completion within budget and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the execution of rooftop, ground-mounted, or hybrid solar projects (MW-scale).
- Oversee project lifecycle: from pre-sales technical support and feasibility assessments to final commissioning and handover.
- Manage cross-functional teams including design engineers, site managers, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure project delivery meets technical, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor project progress using tools like MS Project or Primavera; manage risks and resolve bottlenecks.
- Liaise with local DISCOMs, government bodies, and regulatory agencies for permissions and grid connectivity.
- Oversee procurement of solar components (modules, inverters, BOS) and logistics coordination.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reporting to senior management and clients.
- Mentor junior project staff and provide technical leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (Postgraduate/MBA is a plus).
- 8+ years of solar industry experience, with at least 4 years in project management roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing 1 MW+ solar projects (Rooftop/Utility-scale).
- Familiarity with solar design software (PVSyst, Helioscope) and project management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of solar policy frameworks in Andhra Pradesh and MNRE guidelines.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Proficiency in English, Telugu preferred.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
