Job Summary:
The Solar Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across residential, commercial, and utility-scale sites. This role involves hands-on work at project sites throughout Maharashtra, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of solar panels.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in PV systems, including wiring, inverters, and mounting structures.
- Conduct performance checks and monitoring of system output using tools/software.
- Carry out electrical testing, insulation resistance, and continuity checks.
- Replace defective modules, inverters, and components as needed.
- Maintain detailed service and maintenance records.
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work closely with engineers and site supervisors during project execution.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in solar system installation or maintenance.
- Familiarity with electrical wiring, single-line diagrams, and system layouts.
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions.
- Basic knowledge of solar inverters, batteries (if hybrid), and monitoring systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Valid two-wheeler license.
- Familiarity with local DISCOM regulations.
- Marathi language proficiency is a plus.
